CITY OF HOLLY HILL

WATER CUSTOMERS

The City of Holly Hill Water Treatment Plant will temporarily perform a change in the drinking water systems disinfection process. This change will begin March 18, 2024 and continue through April 8, 2024.  This will involve changing the disinfectant treatment currently used in the water treatment plant from chloramines which is currently used, to just chlorine.  During this period, free chlorine will be maintained throughout the water distribution system while we conduct a thorough flushing of all the water mains.  This procedure is being done to improve the quality of water we supply and is recommended by the Department of Environmental Protection.

People using Dialysis treatment should contact their physician.

Tropical fish owners/aquarists should contact their pet supply.

During this period the water continues to be of the highest quality and totally safe to drink. Customers may experience a slight difference in the taste and odor of the water as a result of the alternate disinfectant used.

If you have any questions concerning this procedure, please feel free to contact the Utilities Division at (386) 248-9463.
